Puffets
From The Orono Cookbook, by The Ladies of the Methodist Episcopal Church, Orono, Maine • 1906
Take 1 quart flour, 1/2 teaspoonful salt, butter the size of an egg, 2 eggs, 2 tablespoonfuls of white sugar, 1 pint of milk, and 3 teaspoonfuls of baking powder. Rub butter into the flour, beat the eggs separately, adding the whites last. Bake in gem-pans in a hot oven.
